HORCOM8P is suitable for
astrologers who like to compare different astrological methods and need exact ephemerides,also for
historical work.
Besides the big planets, also exact
ephemeridens are available in HORCOM for Chiron,Ceres,Pallas,Juno,Vesta,Pholus,Damocles,Nessus
and the Comet Halley.
Quaoar for the same
time-span as Pluto.
The moon-nodes are available as median or true ( = momentary ) value.
The " Black Moon " = Apogee of the moon-orbit, also known as " Lilith " is also available as median or true value.
The planets positions can be
given geocentric,topocentric
( = with "parallax" ) and heliocentric.
The moon,of
course,only geocentric and topocentric.
The hypothetical " planets " Trans-Pluto (Isis)
" and CU,HA,ZE,KR,AP,AD,VU,PO of the " HAMBURGER SCHULE " can
optionally also be used.
For the big planets ME until PL, also the mean Nodes and Apsides are available.See under " Astronomic Features...." in line 3. of the menu on the homepage.
If the beginner in astrology might work with HORCOM,I would recommend,that he let the parameters in their default values,until he has some experience and knowledge.
Detailed commentarys are included in HORCOM,which
every user should
read at least once.
Out of the output-screens
the affiliated commentary appears with F1.
HORCOM8P offers ( almost ) all important methods of the classical astrology.An astrology-program, however,that meets the demands of all astrologers could hardly be realized.
The " Multiple Directions " of STEPHAN A. LEHRIEDER are also contained.
Statistical work with bigger files is available with search after different objects and search-criterions.F.e. : Sun in sagittarius or AC in sagittarius or Trigon sun-Venus...
AAF-Files ( AAF =
" Astrologisches Austausch - Format",created
by M.GARMS ),which is much used in german speaking countrys
can be changed into HORCOM-Files and vice versa.
In HORCOM8P, the AAF-Format can also
be edited.
A particular emphasis,by the way the eldest part of HORCOM,ist the " MUENCHNER RHYTHMENLEHRE " of WOLFGANG DOEBEREINER.
HORCOM8P is no program that generates interpretation-text !
HORCOM8P is also no learning program for astrology ! but was primary established for asking critical questions about the astrological methods.
With the
formation and development of HORCOM, many engaged astrologers
have participated.
Thanks to them !
They have greatly
enriched the program.At the other side,the newcomer to HORCOM
needs many hours to study the numerous options of HORCOM.
I myself had
originally the intention to pursue a hobby.But meanwhile it is
often real hard work if it comes to search for bugs.
